The Get Together was much as I expected it to be. I'd met some of the attendees before, but got to meet Majere, Elistan and Rocky for the first time. It was somewhat amusing... a number of folks warned me in advance that Elistan was likely to 'talk some smack' when he met me in person. But actually, other than a few proud boasts, it wasn't Elistan who crowed the loudest, but rather Majere. His utter contempt for '2x losers' and 'washed up has-beens' left quite a sour impression.

Gaul and Tripper were a pleasure to meet, as was Syla. Marisa I had met previously, and I'd been introduced to Rubicant at a GT a few years ago. In lieu of a guestbook, I asked everyone to sign a paper plate. The idea worked.... until the Goddess of Mischief got ahold of it... then, all of a sudden, we had folks from Europe showing up, according to the signatures gathered... = P

Back home, when Borneo heard my tales of all the smack Majere was talking....
the plate was put to a different use, as Borneo made "sweet vicarious love" to Majere
through the proxy of the plate.
