The Storytelling Amphitheater [Exits: west]

You are in a small amphitheater. Several rows of curved marble benches curl comfortably around a raised dais. The high ceiling and polished stone walls are shaped to reflect the voice of the speaker at the dais, letting them be heard throughout the room. An open archway to the west leads out into a small courtyard.

Cordir says, 'They are folk who speak with My voice.'.
Cordir says, 'Folk that I trust utterly...'.
Cordir says, 'With my own integrity and name...'.
Cordir says, 'And with your very lives.'.

Abender blinks.

Cordir says, 'First among the Chosen is my sister, Jahiliya.'.
Cordir says, 'Vecna, Typhon, Trap, Ivarr, and Gaul...'.
Cordir says, 'Names that are legendary within our Realm.'.
Cordir says, 'It was firmly brought to my attention ... both through my own notice and the words of my Chosen...'.
Cordir says, 'That there was one deserving of this honor and responsibility who had not been granted it'.
Cordir says, 'I, having gained permission from his Lord and Liege, Solanthas, hope to rectify that at this time...'.

Abender blinks.
Cordir smiles at Abender.

Abender weeps.

Cordir takes a deep breath.

Cordir says, 'It is not simply a duty I ask you to assume..'.

Cordir says, 'But also a very solemn requirement that you call on my folk as your own.'.
Cordir says, 'Do you accept this?'.

Abender says (in common), 'Yes.. I shall'.

Deamhan prays, 'He's going to get encouraged, you know, love'.
Cordir tells Deamhan, 'Perhaps...'.

Cordir nods quietly.
Cordir gets a black quill pen from a bag of Nyx hide.
Cordir takes the pen in her right hand and uses its point to slash the palm of her left hand.
Cordir says, 'Hold out your hand, please.'.

Abender holds out his hand.
Abender takes a deep breath..

Cordir dips the sharp quill into the blood in her palm.
Cordir inscribes a spiderweb tattoo using her blood into the palm of Abender's hand.
Cordir says softly, 'Then let all know, by My mark, that you are one Destined....'
Cordir says, 'My folk are your folk... you are one of ours.'.

Abender smiles with great honor and dignity.

Cordir says, 'Rise, Destined.'.
Abender stands up.

Cordir says, 'Chosen... please give greetings, to the Destined, Abender.'.
Mireya stands up.
Palin bows before Abender.

Deamhan smiles happily.
Abender bows deeply.
Deamhan bows before Abender.
Mireya bows before Abender.

Durin says (in common), 'Congratulations Abender'.

Allyena beams a smile at Abender.
Durin bows before Abender.
Helati curtseys gracefully to Abender.
